Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Vineyard Church Kansas City Curation Platform. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply when you use our self-intake form, complete a curation session, or otherwise interact with this platform. By using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
1. Who we are
"VCKC", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Vineyard Church Kansas City and its affiliated campuses. "You" and "your" refer to the person using the platform.
2. What the platform is
The Curation Platform helps our pastoral team get to know you and recommend ministry, community, and personal-growth next steps that fit where you are in life. The platform uses both human review and AI assistance to prepare a summary of your conversation and a personalized plan.
The platform is offered free of charge and is intended for adults (18+) or for minors with the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Using the platform
When you use the platform you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself.
- Use the platform only for the purpose it's intended — pastoral discernment and ministry connection.
- Not attempt to disrupt the platform, access it without authorization, or impersonate someone else.
4. Communications & consent
When you complete a curation session we may send you follow-up communications about your results and your next steps with our church.
By submitting the intake form, you consent to receive emails from us related to your curation session, including a confirmation email and (if applicable) follow-up messages from our curation team. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time by replying with "Unsubscribe" or contacting us at the address below.
SMS / text messages
SMS opt-in. Our church may, with your permission, send SMS (text message) communications to the mobile number you provided — for example, a reminder about your scheduled session or a brief follow-up note from a curator.
SMS is opt-in only. We won't send you any text messages unless you explicitly check the SMS consent box on the intake form. Your consent to receive SMS is not a condition of using the platform.
Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your curation activity. You can expect at most a handful of messages around the time of your session, plus the occasional follow-up.
Costs. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. VCKC does not charge you for any text message we send.
Opting out. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. We'll send one confirmation and stop texting you. Reply HELP for help information.
Privacy. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in status are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Your information & privacy
Information you provide is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the platform you also agree to that policy.
6. AI-generated content
Parts of your curation summary and your curation plan are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. AI-generated text reflects our pastoral framework but is not infallible. Our curation team reviews recommendations before acting on them, and you should treat the AI-generated content as a starting point for conversation rather than final pastoral counsel. 7. Pastoral care, not professional services
The Curation Platform is a ministry tool. It is not a substitute for licensed counseling, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or in need of urgent help, please contact local emergency services or a licensed professional.
8. Intellectual property
The platform's design, software, and curated content (including the structured discipleship framework) are the property of VCKC or its licensors. Your intake responses belong to you; you grant us permission to use them as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VCKC and its staff, volunteers, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. The platform is provided on an "as-is" basis. We do our best to keep it available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after we publish changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be resolved in the courts located in Johnson County, Kansas.
